The conference Recy & DepoTech has become the largest waste management and recycling conference in Austria, with more than 500 international conference participants. From November 7th to 9th , representatives from science and industry will meet for the 14th time to discuss current waste management and technical topics.
While the conference was originally specialized in landfill engineering and remediation, the field has developed extensively over the years in areas such as waste management, waste law, waste logistics, waste analysis, process engineering and, above all, recycling in all its facets. Important topics such as Ecodesign, ReUse and Waste Avoidance will also find their place in the conference. Particularly important – and this is reflected in the conference name – is recycling. New recycling processes are discussed and “best practice” projects are presented.
This year, the theme “Implementing the New Objectives of European Waste Policy” will be highlighted. Even if the challenging objectives of the European circular economy package have to be implemented in a few years’ time, we are well advised to deal with future concepts today.
The Recy & DepoTech is not a purely scientific conference, but a conference for waste professionals from science, administration, municipal and private waste companies as well as planners and industry representatives. Through this interdisciplinary exchange, developments and innovations are initiated and promoted. Many topics should be discussed on-site and can also reveal controversial points of view. The Recy & DepoTech 2018 stands for appreciative exchange at a high professional level.
